Communication and Education Advanced Training Course

The Communication and Education advanced course of instruction is based on the information and practices contained in the IAITAM Best Practice Library (IBPL) Communication and Education volume 4 which makes clear the fact that this Key Process Area is truly enterprise-wide, and requires the direct support of many people to provide awareness and understanding of policy throughout the organization.

We have all learned that change is inevitable and necessary.  Proactive change management requires planning and communication for change, followed by the necessary educational training to ensure that the adoption of the new changes (policies) is successful and that all personnel understand how to use the newly changed processes.

This Advanced course of instruction will thoroughly examine best practices in effective communications and the real value of well planned education processes.  Communication and Education in any enterprise is very much an on-going activity which must be reviewed on a regular basis and revised as necessary.  We will study the benefits of C&E.

  • Introduction to the ITAM Professional Code of Ethics
  • Overview of Scope, Roles, and Definitions for this Key Process Area (KPA)
  • Review of KPA Workflow
  • Access to Best Practice Templates & Worksheets
  • Development of Projects to Establish/Improve KPA
  • Review of Available Technology to Support KPA
  • Business Area Assessment Specific to Students Business
  • Development of  Buy-in Pitch based upon the Business Assessment.

Discussion and sample projects including: Education Planning Efficiency Check, Change Management Checklist, Communication Planning, Learning Plan, Educational Request, C&E Projects, Training and Communication Content Requirements, Vendor Communication Policy, Policy Communication Process. Technology that will enhance the Communication and Education Process Area, and Executive Buy-in.
